sbak enables you to easily backup remote servers with a simple command line. The backups can be automated, and sbak uses hard-links to make your backups consume as little space as possible.

Automatic off site backups that travel in time and space.

A flux capacitor built by a Back To The Future fan

It struck us like a bolt of lightening. What if backups could travel in time, and space?

Actually, what we’ve created is a service that backs up of your Internet server, but with a twist. The Flux Capacitor enables your files to travel in time and space while creating minimal server load. If you have a requirement for off-site server backups, The Flux Capacitor is the fastest and most cost effective way of meeting it.

Like most offerings from Obstacles Gone, the Flux Capacitor is based on extremely widely supported Open Source products but will be fully supported by our Technical Support line.

If you use Obstacles Gone for your hosting needs, your files are already 100% protected. For a nominal fee, we can restore your files to the state they were in at any given hour over the last 10 days.

The foundation of Flux Capacitor is ‘sbak’, a utility that we will be releasing under GPL on Thursday March 12th, 2009.

The Flux Capacitor web interface will become available for general use in April, 2009.
